Rt Hon Jim Murphy, Founder and Executive Chair, Arden Strategies

As political conference season draws to a close, Michael speaks to the Rt Hon Jim Murphy about leadership lessons from business and politics, the role of values in shaping success and navigating geopolitical and technological uncertainty.

Drawing on his experience of serving two British Prime Ministers – Tony Blair and Gordon Brown – Jim compares their leadership styles and considers parallels with recent changes in the Labour Party.

He also challenges the broad but shallow understanding of the AI revolution across the public and private sectors, examining the behaviours and skills leaders need during upheaval, from building resilience and opportunity to recovering quickly from failure.

A practical, thoughtful conversation for business and technology leaders managing public-private relationships in a volatile operating environment.
